LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril

Hey everyone! It’s Kaitlynn! Today’s (late) review is going to be about “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril” for the 3DS. In this game, you get to play as many Marvel characters, such as Iron Man (my favorite!), Spiderman, the Hulk, Captain America, The Black Widow, Wolverine, and many others. Your job is to stop Loki and other villains from the Marvel franchise from creating a weapon to destroy the world. A cool bonus is that there is actual audio from the movie in the game.

Overall, I’d rate this game 4.4 out of 5 stars. It was an excellently designed game. Thank you guys for reading. I hope you enjoyed!

Fable 2 Review

Fable 2 is an action/adventure, medieval game where you are a man known as a hero, a person who must save the world from impending doom. It is available on the Xbox 360.

In the beginning, it starts off with a scene of a bird flying through a city eventually pooping on to your character. (Before you choose your gender). Your other sibling gets disgusted by it as you wipe it off and freak out. You and your sibling are both hobos, kids, and orphans. Your sibling then hears a noise and proceeds to go into town. On your way, your asked a question by a man who your sister threatens and walks off. You walk over to a huge crowd, crowding around a wagon. A man starts offering magical and ancient artifacts when he starts talking about a box that catches your eye. He says that it belonged to the ancients and was a box that could grant one wish. You start doing quests around the town to gather gold to get the box. As soon as you get it and go back to the little house you and your sibling made, your sister makes a wish. The box starts playing music, spins, then blows up into light. You and your sibling go to bed and find a dog that has been stalking you during the quests. You go to bed only to be waken up by a guard who wants you and your sister to go to the Bowerstone Castle. (Bowerstone being the city you are in). You go to the castle and meet the king who is fascinated by the fact that you and your sibling were able to use the box. He starts thinking that one of you is a hero. He tests it by making you both stand on a symbol carved into the ground. It glows blue. He walks over and tries to absorb the power but, is instantly zapped with electricity turning the glow of blue to red. He runs to his table while your sibling is worrying and screaming. The king realizes that one of you is the 4th hero, the person who is supposed to stop him from building The Spiral, a tower in the ocean that has the power to change the world by making a wish. The king is wanting to use it for destroying the world and starting it over again, like it had been used in the past. He shoots your sibling killing her. Then he shoots you out of the window, making your body fall down smacking into parts of the castle, a part of the house, and finally hitting the ground. The dog comes over, licks your hand, then a woman who is in every Fable game comes over, picks up your body, and walks away. You are resting from the experience until you are around the ages of 16 or 21.

Your mission is to stop the king, who had mysteriously disappeared, and to avenge your sister. On the way you gain the other 3 heros help. In the end, you dog gets shot. Then you appear in a dream. Afterwards you’re in the tower. You walk up some stairs into a room with big doors and a giant light coming from the inside. You step in to find the king absorbing the other 3 heros’ powers. You kill him, then you get to decide what wish of the wishes offered you would want. The wishes are: To become the king, To Raise anyone harmed by the king from the dead, or to get a lot of money. That is how the game ends. I personally chose to raise anyone harmed from the dead because I liked having my dog around, plus in the game, I had a wife and a little girl.

In this game, you can buy weapons, properties, get married, and have kids. You can also explore and fight a huge variety of creatures or people. What I really like about this game is the fact that when you get a quest, it shows a yellow line on the ground to where you have to go, so it would never be hard. When you die, you come back to life in a few seconds. And you are able to use magic. You also can decide your appearence on what things you do. You can make yourself fat by eating too much to raise your health or by killing innocent people, you can change your appearance to eventually look like a demon. I would rate this game a 5 out of 5. Please leave in the comments below on what consoles or games you would want us to try out and review.

Mortal Kombat Review

When I first heard of this game, I thought it was a game like Call of Duty. When I first played it, I was amazed by what was happening in this game.

Mortal Kombat (A.K.A MK) is an American fighting game series that had started in October 8, 1992. This game was originally an arcade game, but soon to come, it became a game you can buy and play on a video game console like the Xbox 360 and the PS4. The first four renditions and their updates were developed by Midway Games and initially released on arcade machines. The arcade titles were later picked up by Acclaim Entertainment for the home console conversions. Beginning with Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Midway Games exclusively created home versions of Mortal Kombat up until Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Following Midway’s bankruptcy, the franchise was picked up by Warner Bros. in July 2009 and became a part of the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

The original game has spawned many sequels and has been spun off into several action-adventure games, films (animated and live-action with its own sequel), and television series (animated and live-action). Other spin-offs include various comic book series, a card game and a live-action tour. Mortal Kombat has become one of the most successful and influential fighting franchises in the history of video games just like Street Fighter had done.

The original three games and their updates, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy, were styled in a 2D fighting fashion. The series is known for its high levels of bloody violence, including, most notably, its Fatalities—finishing moves, requiring a sequence of buttons to perform, which, in part, led to the creation of the ESRB. The basic Fatalities are finishing moves that allow the victorious characters to end a match in a special way by murdering their defeated, defenseless opponents in a gruesome manner, usually in the predefined ways exclusive for the given character. The only exception from this is Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, which instead features the Kreate-A-Fatality, allowing the players to perform their own Fatalities by conducting a series of violent moves chosen from a pool that is common for all characters. There are also some non-violent finishing moves in the series. Friendship moves, introduced in Mortal Kombat II and involving displays of friendship towards the enemy, instead of killing, were made as a comical response to the attention the series gathered due to its violent content.

The series features scores of player characters (a total of 60 as of 2012), including Baraka, Cyrax, Goro, Jade, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kano, Kenshi, Kitana, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Mileena, Motaro, Nightwolf, Noob Saibot, Raiden, Reptile, Scorpion, Sektor, Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Sheeva, Sindel, Smoke, Sonya Blade, Stryker and Sub-Zero. In total, there are 17 Mortal Kombat Games. With this game, you have to climb a tower or what is now called a ladder, to get to the final boss. Along the way, you would have to face other CPUs to get to the boss, with each CPU getting harder and harder to defeat. Later after these games, they added a campaign in, or a storyline, for the character to play. I think this is an amazing game to play if you love violence or if your really angry and you would wish to take your anger out on something by beating up the CPUs in this game.

I would rate this game a 5 out of 5. If you have any games or consoles you guys wish us to review, please leave it in the comments below.

Elder Scrolls Online Review

If true, this game would be the best MMORPG that has ever existed, with a mix of all the Elder Scrolls Games combined with bits and parts of other really great RPG’s like WoW (World of Warcraft) and Runescape.
As with other games in The Elder Scrolls franchise, the game will be set in the continent of Tamriel and feature a storyline indirectly connected with the other games. The game will be set a millennium (1000 years) before the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and around 800 years before The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, with the “Daedric Prince Molag Bal appearing as the main antagonist as he attempts to pull all of Tamriel to his realm of Coldharbour. Most of the continent of Tamriel will be playable in the game (although much of it will be locked off for expansion content), and players will have the opportunity to join any of the three factions warring over the throne of the Emperor of Tamriel: The Aldmeri Dominion (represented by an eagle), composed of Altmer (High elf), Bosmer (Wood elf), and Khajiit; the Daggerfall Covenant (represented by a lion), composed of Bretons, Redguards, and Orsimer (Orcs); and the Ebonheart Pact (represented by a dragon), composed of Nords, Dunmer (Dark elf) and Argonians.

The Elder Scrolls Online had been in development for 5 years prior to its announcement in May 2012. This is the first project for ZeniMax Online Studios which formed in 2007. The current release date is Spring 2014. This console will be released on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One (< Don’t get this console). It was said later to be released on PC and MAC.

This is the part I know you all will really hate. They are planning to have it to where you cannot go cross-connect between different consoles and they are planning to do a monthly fee for any thing you play it on.

This game will contain dungeons, raids, and yes… PVP. The PVP system is said to be between 2 different teams, versing off against each other. One team will be down in a valley or below a hill of a castle. They will be able to control catapults and charge up and storm that castle. The other team will be in the castle, trying to defend it. I’m not quite so sure on what the team in the castle gets but, i’m pretty sure it will be molten rock pouring on anyone who gets near. The team storming the castle might also gets a battering ram. They are adding in werewolves, this time they can’t control themselves. Yes… if your asking, ” Are we able to become one?” then the answer is yes, you can get the werewolf ability through either I think drinking werewolf blood or getting it through infection. You can use this ability in dungeons, raids, and PVP. I think this game truly will be the best MMORPG there will ever be for our time. I would give this game a 5 out of 5. Please leave in the comments other games you would want us to review. Same with consoles.

Terraria

This game has to be the most biggest, yet better, game than Minecraft. It is the same type of game, a blocky one. This game is available for Xbox Arcade (Meaning you can purchase and download it), computer, and PS( PlayStation). I bought this off of Steam for about $5, it was originally $10 but, it has a Sale going on which lowered most of the games prices by at least 50%. Their are still many differences but, this is definitely a game almost like Minecraft.

I would have to say it’s better though because it has more items, things to do, more RPG, people to chat to, more and different mobs, bosses, should I really go on? One difference about this game compared to Minecraft is that Minecraft is a first person RPG, this is like a old retro Mario game, you view the players and things from a side view. This game has more items like glowsticks, you can collect these by killing jellyfish, it will light up the area you throw it in but, it has to be underwater. You use torches up on land.

You have these statues that you may place armor on. New armor in this compared to Minecraft is wooden( lots of different types though ), cactus, pumpkin, and jungle.New swords consist of silver, lead, cactus, and ice. To see all the different types of swords, how to make them, how far they reach, how much damage they deal, and how good there knockback is, go to http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Swords to figure out. To find out more on the armor, go to http://terraria.wikia.com/wiki/Armor to find out more.

New mobs consist of birds with gatling guns in their mouths, fish, jellyfish, bunnies, demon eyes, squirrels, werewolves, birds, wraiths, and clowns. Just like in Minecraft, it rains and turns night to day and day to night. It even has full moons and something called a blood moon, which apparently makes the mobs more powerful.

In this, when you begin, you spawn in a randomly generated world, the only thing thats the same about every time you spawn is that one guy will spawn with you. He is your guide and you have to build a house for him to live in. He will give you tips on how to play and what to try to do. Other characters you can unlock are dye traders, traders, bomb exports, nurses, and dryads. You unlock these by doing certain tasks or certain things like increasing your health, getting more money, killing bosses, and collecting items like bombs and ores.  Here is a list of bosses for the certain consoles or things to play on.

Bosses:Bosses Avaliable for Any Thing You Play On

Eater of Worlds

Skeletron

Wall of Flesh

The Twins

The Destroyer

For more info on the monsters/mobs, go to http://terraria.wikia.com/wiki/Monsters and http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Boss . I would give this game a 5 out of 5. I think it’s better than Minecraft. Pokemon Review

This game has been around since 1996 or at least a time around that. It is a very popular game series that is still being made

today and is played over a variety of game consoles. Some new games from the series are Black 2, White 2, X, & Y.(That is since

this post, they may make more games later) A list of games for pokemon can be found at

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_(video_game_series), and a list of the different types of pokemon you can catch

in the game can be found at http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_by_name . In pokemon, you must

travel around the world collecting badges and pokemon while having to deal with a major campaign. This game could take days to

complete and you will not be able to catch every pokemon.  You could play a older version of pokemon such as red or blue and

play that for a while. Then keep transferring your profile over the next games. Then you would be able to capture all the pokemon

made up to this day. I would give this game a 4.5 out of 5 for an overall opinion. Please leave in the comments below on what

game or console you would like us to review!

The Elder Scrolls Saga 5: Skyrim

This has to be one of my most favorite games I have bought…except for the fact I bought this for about $100. It is a game where you are a legendary race known as a dragonborn, part dragon and part human, with the ability to speak dragon and use magical powers.

At the beginning, you are going down a hill, in rags and chains, to what would be your death if it wasn’t for the dragon that you kill in the ending of the game, Alduin. You manage to escape from the town with either a Imperial soldier or a Stormcloak outlaw. In this, there has been a big war going on that involves 2 factions fighting each other for what the fate of Skyrim, is in it’s future. Its basically a civil war. You gain armor and learn how to play along the way until you finally escape from the cave you are trapped in. You go to either a blacksmith or a mill and discuss the situation and then you finally go to a city named Whiterun. You kill a dragon then you finally realize you’re the dragonborn. You then get called upon by the greybeards to go to High Hrothgar to practice your shouting ability. Then you do some quests, meet a member of a guild called the Blades, ancient protectors of Skyrim, then you trap a dragon eventually after you stop the civil war to defeat the dragons. You manage to go to the afterlife in the end to kill Alduin, who is sucking the life out of souls to heal himself.

This game is so big, it could take you months just to do everything on there….. Not including the DLC packs on there. What I especially like about this is the fact to imagine the amount of time it could of taken them to make this game, with every little detail. This game is made by Bethesda, the same people who made Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

I would give this game a 10 out of 10 Just because of everything you can do on there like getting into big major fights to summoning a dragon to making a house to becoming a vampire or werewolf and the fact it took them an amazingly long time to complete this. It is a really amazing game to play and I think all of you readers should play it. The DLC’s in this game are listed below along with the Elder Scrolls Wiki. Please leave in the comments other games you want us to review.

These are the DLC’s.

-Dragonborn

-Hearthfire

-Dawnguard
